I've been out of the loop for awhile! Summer always is sooo busy! Who ever talked about the lazy days of summer must not have had any children! Haha! I'm very humbled to say that I have received some blog awards. I will be adding those to my blog. Thank you so much! All of you are so very kind! Stay tuned for my next posts. Enjoy each and everyday- for each is a gift from God.
This was such a fun box to make! The directions are from a Close To My Heart consultant and I am so sorry that I don't remember your name so please leave a comment and take credit for this fun project :0) Creative Memories had the perfect paper pack called Disney Vacation Power Palette kit (637602) We went there in 2007 so it was time for me to get some of the photos scrapped! My daughters and I had a great time looking through all of the pictures. I still have tons more to scrap, but at least I got a start! My husband, Les was even excited to check out my project when I was finished. Thanks honey!
It isn't to often that Emily will let me get her all dress up AND pose for the camera. She had just gotten her hair cut and even let me curl it. She is always such a cutie, but, today she is a princess!
As if paper crafting isn't enough- I have discovered the fabulous pasttime of knitting! My husband is so excited(haha). He simply asks when I'm going to finish our childrens scrapbook and I say finish? If I have my camera in hand and all the wonderful Close To My Heart goodies how can I ever really finish? He just doesn't seem to understand(sigh). But, I think once he is snuggled under a nice, warm knitted blanket he won't mind. That will be sometime in the distant future since it is 85 degrees out now! Gives me time to practice!
I just love the new Bella paper pack! I did up this cute little card for a Close To My Heart unit swap and it is perfect for this time of the year! I adapted a card sketch from the Originals Card Confidance Program(9032) This book is great if you have a mental block when it comes to creating a card. I used the level 2 paper pack Bella(X7114B) The sweet baby in the pot is stamped using Flower Child(D1248)and colored with watercolor pencils(3505) and then I used a blending pen(3174)to softed the colors. I also used the stamp set Treasures of the heart(C1271) on the front and inside. The flower is from the Just Blooms Big Pinks(Z1033) and a pewter bitty brad(Z199)to attach it.

Hannah and her daddy, Les attended a very special father/daughter Purity Ball. Hannah's little sister, Emily chose not to attend this year, but I do hope that she will go next year. Les was so excited to accompany Princess Hannah he even went out a bought a new suit! He looks very "dapper" as Emily and I said! Proverbs 4:23 Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life.
Once again I was blessed with getting together with the gals from my Hostess Club. We did the left page during our club and I whipped up the right page today. I'm still catching up (haha!) so pics are from 2006! I haven't been scrapbooking in any paticular order lately. I just do whatever fits my whim. It seems to work so I will go with it! Here is my list of goodies I used: Perfect Day Level 2 paper pack X7100B Boutique Alphabet E1002 Bunny Love B1324 Easter Eggs Feb. SOTM
Now I know why I am obsessed with paper! After taking a fun little quiz about "what scrapbook item are you?" I came up as paper! This is what my results had to say: You are an all natural basic person who likes to act as a foundation to others. You are willing to take a backseat in most of your relationships and let others take the spotlight, while you show your support and help them shine! Underneath it all, you are the one who makes it all happen. You are the focus and stability in any group, even if you are not the leader. Others look to you to set the pace and provide ideas for ways to get things done. But Paper Beware - sometimes you get a little edgy with people who look to you for support and can give them some papercut remarks that can hurt their feelings. Remember to watch what you say, because you are best when leading by example. Now it's your turn! Take the quiz in the right column. Be sure to leave a comment as to what scrapbook item you are!
Spring is finally here! the weather is warming up and the robins have blessed our yard with their presence! The March stamp of the month is Butterfly Wings (D1341A) and is the cuttest stamp set! I teamed it up with Paper Garden (X7094B) using blush, petal, clover meadow, buttercup, and desert sand. To add alittle sparkle I used Prizma glitter. This card brings a smile to my face and makes me think about my little sis Heather who loves butterflies! Happy Spring!
I'm working on cards for my Greetings Galore stamp camp and whipped up this fun card! I used the incredible Level 2 paper pack Emporium (X7105B)along with stamp sets: Card Commentary C1281 Spot on Backgrounds D1280 Boutique Alphabet E1003 Playful Flourishes D1212 For a little bling I used Sparkles (Z1104) Colors are cocoa and vanilla cream cardstock, sweet leaf, crystal blue, and indian corn blue ink pads.
I recently made up a few birthday cards for 3 gals from my bible study and I think they turned out great! I used the same pattern for each (thanks to a fellow CTMH contultant for the pattern!) I used the Emporium level 2 pater pack(x7105b) Perfect Day level 2 paper pack (x7100b) Key to my Heart paper pack ( January promo). Stamp sets are Celebrate Life (c1287) and Happy Birthday (c1257) and of course my cricut to cut out the ovals. For the butterfly I stamed Brown staz on ink onto transparency paper and used bonding memories glue and prizma glitter.
I have been so blessed with the opportunity to get to know an amazing group of gals who get together one evening every other month and rotate hostess benifts. This month we worked on a 1 page lay out, other months we have made cards or other paper crafts. We used the Aspen level 2 paper pack. Stamp set are Snowfake kisses, Spot on Backgrounds, Rustic Alphabet, Winter Memories and Chocolate Alphas Large. Stamping techniques used are random stamping, generation and the kissing technique. Now to find the perfect winter picture!
This is Sophie our Goldendoodle. She is a cross between a golden retriever and a standard poodle. She is 3 years old and full of LOVE! She is definately the most loyal and friedly dog that I have ever had! She keeps me company during the day while the girls are at school and is always up for a game of fetch. Beware! If you happen to visit our home- just one pet to this big ol' moose is a sigh to Sophie that you are not to stop! Our family has been so blessed by this awesome girl. She is also my inspiration for the name of my blog "McDoodles scrappin place"
I'm a mom to two wonderful girls, Hannah and Emily and wife to Les. We have an energetic Goldendooodle named Sophie. There seems to never be a dull moment in our house. God has given me many blessings!I enjoy spending my spare time taking photos which leads to scrapbooking! I have a love for pretty paper, cute stickers and creative ways to preserve memories!
